Avengers: Endgame Writers Confirm Captain America is “The Father Of Peggy’s Children “

In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it was revealed that Captain America’s love, Peggy Carter, was married and had two kids. According to Avengers: Endgame writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the man she married was the Captain America from the main MCU timeline who went back in time at the end of the film.

Speaking to Patrick Shanley of The Hollywood Reporter, Markus and McFeely said that while they can’t decide Marvel’s future plans, especially with time travel now in play, it was their “intention that he was always the father of those two children” after marrying the love of his life.

“There is some conversation to be had on this,” McFeely explained. “Quantum physics works in interesting ways, and what Marvel chooses to do is not up to us, but…It was our intention that he was always the father of those two children. But again, there are time travel loopholes for that.”

The fact that those two children were in fact Steve Rogers’, Markus says, “does introduce the idea, though, that there are two children who have somewhat super soldier DNA.”

When Shanley brings up the fact that they would be about 60-something, McFeely brings up the fact that Captain America “was 123, and he looked amazing.”

Markus then pitched the idea for a show I’m sure all of us would love to see.

“But also, the late 60s-set adventures of the Rogers twins where they’re just a couple of plucky young kids with semi-superpowers. I would watch that.”

This interview is filled with Markus and McFeely discussing the biggest Avengers: Endgame fan theories and answers other questions like who’s really dead in the MCU and they also reveal that they were unaware of Spider-Man: Far From Home’s Multiverse plans that stemmed from Thanos’ Snap damaging the fabric of reality.
